I had a little doubt that dining in will be better than takeaway, but it’s true. I shall not improvise the food quality here with takeaway anymore! Things served steaming hot, especially at Tai Cheong, is the best.
Original egg tart can’t go wrong.
It’s freshly baked and at one bite, there will be juicy burst out from the Center of the egg tart.
The milk tea is strong and without sugar doesn’t taste bitter.
The coconut egg tart is good with real and tasty coconut floss. The durian one is not bad too, has durian fleshes.
Tea taste is very strong.
It’s good that they have a dining area.
I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday there. We asked if can light candles and the kind lady borrowed a lighter for us. She also provided several beautiful plates for us. The whole service team was excellent! They don’t even have service charge while they provide such a great service.
And thanks again for the complimentary egg tart!
A delectable French Toast with a surprising silky smooth centre. Indeed, it caught me by surprise! So much so that I dug into it so much so fast that I forgot to take a pic before starting!! So here's what's left before I remembered 😅
The ambiance is filled with old school memorabilia. 1960s/early 70s booths. Nice! 👍🏽
Very friendly and approachable floor supervisor/manager. 👍🏽
The only place (for now) in Singapore to savour your Tai Cheong Egg tarts with their HK milk tea. 🤩
Whenever I am around the Holland area, I will make it a point to visit this cafe to satisfy that craving for toast, scrambled egg with cheese and fried chicken chop.🤟🤟🤟 My friend ordered the noodles in tomato sauce with fried eggs and luncheon meat. 😋
The shop plays nostalgic Cantonese songs to complete the dining experience.
Before leaving this place, dont forget to grab some egg tarts or pastries for breakfast the next day.
[Aug 2023] Comfortable HK char chan teng that serves one of the best egg tart - glistening egg custard encased in subtly sweet cookie crust. Our other usual orders are the Tai Cheong HK dry noodles that comes with braised chicken wings, curry fishballs, chinese sausage and braised cuttlefish), tomato macaroni soup and hot ginger lemon cola.
Service has been prompt and consistent all these years since they opened in 2016.
Food is nice, portion good. Place a little small and indoor is cold.
This is one of the better HK eatery place in Singapore, worth a shot if you haven't try before.
A convenient place at Holland Village to have brunch. Their menu are generally more suitable breakfast and brunch given such as tarts and macaroni soup. Able to dine indoors and outdoors(suitable for cyclist).
